Cloud /kloud/

Cloud cashmere is superfine-gauge (18GG) cashmere, interwoven with hydrosoluble fibers. After knitting, the sweater is washed in hot water which dissolves the hydrosoluble fibers, leaving the cashmere intact. The result, as you can imagine, is cashmere that is sparsely knitted: a cloud-like, gauzey structure remains. Cloud cashmere makes fantasy scarves, throws, and blankets.
